WAEC releases BECE 2021 results; cancels entire results of 46 candidates

The Ghana Education Service  has announced to the General public that, the provisional Results of 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) has been released today Monday, February 28th 2022 by WAEC

It also added that the entire results of 46 candidates have been canceled for the offense of either sending mobile phones into the examination hall or impersonation.

“The subject results of 148 candidates and the entire Results of 109 candidates have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into various cases of alleged examination malpractice,” the Exams Council said today

As part of measures to curb exams malpractice, it says the scripts of candidates from 24 schools in certain subjects are undergoing scrutiny. The withheld results it said may be canceled or released based on the outcome of investigations.

“The Council is cautioning all stakeholders to be wary of fraudsters who promise to upgrade results for a fee. Candidates are to note that WAEC results are secured and can be authenticated,” it noted in the press release.
