Arsenal to replacement Leno this summer

Arsenal will complete the signing of Matt Turner in june to replace Bernd Leno who’s expected to leave the club.

Turner will join Arsenal as new goalkeeper starting from season 2022/2023 – total agreement in place with New England Revolution.

The £7.5m fee, which includes add-ons, was agreed between the two clubs during the January transfer window.

Although fees and contracts are sorted, he still needs to go through a medical and receive his work permit before he can train or play.

Turner, 27, joined New England Revolution from Jersey Express in 2016.

And he has become a key player for the USA national team, named goalkeeper of the tournament during their triumph at the Concacaf Gold Cup in August.

This of course now means that Bernd Leno can now start looking for a permanent transfer this summer. It was reported that Newcastle were very keen to take the German in the January window, and you would think that if the Toon manage to avoid relegation that would be his most likely destination if he remains in the Premier League.
