A Nigerian man in Karnataka capital Bengaluru was arrested on charges of allegedly killing a 43-year-old man by hitting his head against the wall. Following the crime, the accused was arrested on Wednesday and as per reports, the incident took place when the duo landed up in an argument over a rent-related row.
The accused, identified as Daniel Chinazor Alaso alias Bobby (36) attacked the now-deceased man Shivakumar who was employed as a facilities manager for his landlord, Bharath, on Monday. Reportedly, it was Shivakumar who used to collect rent and maintain other facilities at the building that was owned by Bharath.
Meanwhile, the accused Bobby, who came to India ten years ago stayed in Bengaluru’s KR Puram area even after the expiration of his visa period. He moved in at Bharath’s building but he was not paying rent regularly. This did not go too well with Bharath and he asked Bobby to vacate the flat and also sent him out of the building.
However, Shivakumar alerted Bharath that Bobby was back in the room again on Monday following which Bharath warned him. After receiving the warning, Bobby attacked Shivakumar in a fit of rage and fled from the spot.
This comes days after two Nigerian nationals, identified as Sixtus and Chukwudbem, were arrested from Karnataka capital Bengaluru on charges of drug peddling last month.
The police have also recovered 1.5kg of MDMA crystals, two plastic cans with MDMA mix water, 300 grams of weed oil and 120 grams of MDMA blocks, worth Rs 3 crore in total from their possession, stated reports.
