WE WON’T CALL OFF THE STRIKE.- Prof. Ransford Gyampo

For some weeks now the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has been on a Nationwide strike. The lectures are on the neck of government to increase their salaries.

The lecturers have refused to teach in the various universities across the country. Various consultations have been made and the organisation is at a standstill over the decision. Currently freshers and continuing students are not attending lectures in the various public universities.

In an interview with professor Ransford Gyampo, Secretary for the University of Ghana Chapter, UTAG. He insisted that they will not call off the strike and careless they are arrested.

The situation has been of concern to many including parents and students but the ultimate is that Society is pleading with the yuletide to call off the strike and head to the classrooms.
